NO: Change the bulb, and continue with point 2.
2. Check The Wiring
Check The Wiring between pin 24 of the transmission control module and pin 5 (low spec.) or pin 23 (high spec.) of the main instrument display
panel for continuity or shorting.
Is the wiring OK?
YES: Continue with point 3.
NO: Repair or replace the wiring and continue with point 3.
3. Final check
Check the lamp, using an ISAT scan tool.
Does the lamp work?
YES: The remedial action taken was correct.
NO: Continue as described under "Before Changing A Control Module". See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Before
