Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation
The lamp is located in the main instrument and is supplied with +15. The lamp is controlled from pin 32 of the ECM and is tested for 3 seconds when the
ignition is switched ON.
After the lamp test, flashing codes are activated if there are faults stored in the memory.
If an emission-related fault occurs during driving, the malfunction indicator lamp lights up. A diagnostic trouble code can then be obtained with the
ISAT scan tool or with flashing codes.
