About the 9-3
The 9-3 was Saab's compact executive car from 1998. The first generation (1998–2003) used GM's GM2900 platform; the second (2003–2012) the Epsilon platform shared with the Opel Vectra and Chevrolet Malibu. The 9-3 Viggen was the first generation's high-performance model.
