About the 9-5
The 9-5 replaced the 9000 as Saab's executive car, launched in 1997 and reaching the US for 1999. The first generation was made until 2010; the second, launched in 2009 and the first Saab under Spyker ownership, ended in 2012 when Saab was liquidated.
