Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement

KM-6349 Fixing Rod
Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle by its full height.
2. Remove the lower engine cover and the right engine splash shield.
3. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (See: Drive Belt/Service and Repair).
Note: The tensioner remains locked with the KM-6349 (2)
4. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
Remove the bolt (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Clean the thread of the drive belt tensioner.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
2. Install the drive belt tensioner.
*
Tighten the bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

Use a NEW bolt.
3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (See: Drive Belt/Service and Repair).
4. Install the lower engine cover and the right engine splash shield.
5. Lower vehicle by its full height.
