Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement   (See: Oil Filter Adapter/Service and Repair/Oil Filter Adapter

Replacement). 

2. Remove the heat exchanger (1) from the oil filter adapter.

Remove the 6 bolts (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Clean the sealing surface.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the heat exchanger to the oil filter adapter.

Use a NEW gasket.

Tighten the 6 bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

3. Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement   (See: Oil Filter Adapter/Service and Repair/Oil Filter Adapter Replacement

).
