Astra L4-1.8L (2009)
1. Position the new seal ring.

Position the seal ring in such a way that the pulse pick-up bracket is over the corresponding cut-out on the cylinder block
Note: Do not press in the seal ring all the way.

Slide the seal ring over the crankshaft. Push on until it is flush and sits evenly in the cylinder block.
2. Install the seal ring with KM-6623 (1).

Tighten the 3 bolts (2).
*
Press the seal ring all the way in.
*
Install the bolt (3).
3. Remove KM-6623 .
Remove the 3 bolts.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
4. Install the crankshaft pulse pick-up to the pulse pick-up bracket.
Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
5. Place the encoder on crankshaft.
6. For vehicles with automatic transmission, install the drive disc. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex
Plate/Service and Repair).
7. For vehicles with manual transmission, fit the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement (See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Flywheel/Service and Repair).
