Remove the horn switch.
*
Remove the signal switch board (3).
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
1. Install the horn switch.

Insert the signal switch board.
*
Insert the signal switch control.
Tighten the 3 bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

Connect the 2 wiring harness plug.
2. Install the airbag unit. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air
Bag/Service and Repair).

Connect and lock the wiring harness plug.
*
Clamp the airbag unit in place.
3. Connect the battery.
4. Carry out the readiness test.
After ignition ON, the airbag system readiness check light comes on for 4 seconds and then goes out.
