Removal Procedure
Note:

In the presence of fuel vapors or escaping fuel - observe safety regulations and national legislation. Store drained fuel in a suitable, sealable
container.
*
The vehicle fuel system is designed in petrol engines as a return-free fuel system.
1. Open the hood.
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions).
2. Disconnect the battery.

Disconnect the ground clamp from the negative terminal.
*
Loosen the nut.
3. Disconnect the front vent line (1) from tank vent valve (2).
4. Remove the front frame. Refer to Front Frame Replacement (Removal) (See: Body and Frame/Frame/Subframe/Front Subframe/Service and

5. Remove the 2 fuel line brackets (4) from the underbody.

Remove the 2 bolts.
*
Remove the vent pipe (2).
6. Detail vent line (2) to quick-release fitting (3) using SA9805E /KM-796-A.
