Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions).
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.
Note: Ensure that the retaining wire is not bent.
3. Remove the drivers side airbag.

Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees (I).

Push the retaining wire in the direction of the steering column using a small screwdriver in the service opening (II) and remove the airbag
module.

Release and disconnect the wiring harness plug.
