Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note:  It is essential to avoid pulling the central release at an angle.

2. Install the central release (1).

Note:  Check the seal ring (arrow) for damage.

Attach the assembly aid (3) to the drive shaft (2) with KM-6157  .

Lightly coat the seal ring in the central release with transmission fluid.

Note:  Use new bolts.

*

Install the 3 bolts evenly in contact with the flange.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
