Fuel Rail: Service and Repair
Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (with CH 48027-100) (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and
Repair/Fuel Pressure Relief (with CH 48027-100))Fuel Pressure Relief (w/o CH 48027-100) (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and
Repair/Fuel Pressure Relief (w/o CH 48027-100)).
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (See: Air Cleaner Housing/Air Cleaner Fresh Air
Duct/Hose/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement).
3. Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting (3) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Line
Coupler/Service and Repair/Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector (4).
