9. Remove camshaft cover seals.
IMPORTANT: Ensure all eight sealing O-rings are accounted for. The O-rings may stick to the camshaft bearing caps or they may fall into the oil pan
.
10. Clean camshaft cover.
11. Clean all sealing surfaces.
INSTALLATION
1. Lightly coat new seals, including O-rings, with engine 4 oil prior to installation to assist in holding O-ring seals to valve cover.
2. Install camshaft cover seals
3. Apply a thin coat of Loctite 5900 or equivalent at front and back of camshaft cover as shown in the figure as the shaded areas.
