Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair
EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid

REMOVAL

1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector.
3. Remove hose clamps from end of solenoid.
4. Remove vapor line and quick disconnect.
5. Remove solenoid and discard quick disconnect clip.

IMPORTANT:  Always use new clip when replacing EVAP purge line solenoid.

INSTALLATION  

1. Install EVAP canister purge solenoid with new vapor line clip.
2. Install vapor line to solenoid.
3. Install vacuum hose to sensor.
4. Install hose clamps to end of solenoid.
5. Connect EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connectors.
6. Clip solenoid onto air box.
