Exhaust Resonator: Service and Repair

Resonator Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution:  Refer to Vehicle Lifting.

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the fasteners that hold the exhaust manifold pipe to the exhaust resonator.

3. Remove the exhaust resonator to muffler attachment clamp.
4. Separate the exhaust resonator from the muffler by pulling and twisting in the opposite direction

5. Remove the exhaust resonator isolators.
6. Remove the exhaust resonator.
