6. Disconnect the solenoid harness connector.
7. Disengage the locking tabs from the shield of the EVAP vent solenoid box.
8. Remove the shield on the EVAP vent solenoid box and slide it down molded hose.
9. Remove the EVAP vent solenoid from the box and the vent pipe from the vehicle.
10. Disconnect the EVAP vent solenoid from the molded rubber hose.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the vent solenoid clicks into the engagement with the locking tab on the box.
1. Install the EVAP vent solenoid to the box on the filler pipe.
IMPORTANT: The lid or shield for the EVAP vent solenoid must always be installed. The lid and solenoid box shield the vent solenoid from water
and contaminants. This allows the vent solenoid to function properly.
2. Install the shield on EVAP vent solenoid box.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the vent pipe is properly positioned in the retainer on the fuel filler pipe lower attachment.
