7. Remove thermostat with housing:

Remove bolts.
^
Tilt the rear of the thermostat housing upward.
^
Lift out the housing.
^
Remove seal ring.
^
Discard seal ring.
Installation
1. Install the thermostat with housing:
^
Install a new seal ring.
^
Position the thermostat with the housing.
^
Install the housing bolts.
^
Torque: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
2. Lubricate the extension housing O-rings with coolant.
3. Install O-rings on extension housing.
