PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AIR FILLER REPLACEMENT
The passenger compartment air filter traps most of the pollen from the air entering your vehicle. Like your vehicle's engine air filter, it will need to be
changed periodically.
A substantial reduction in air flow indicates that the filter needs to be replaced.
Here's how to replace the passenger compartment air filter.
1. Open the hood of your vehicle. The access panel for the passenger compartment air filter is located in the cowl grill, at the base of the windshield.
2. Gently remove hood-to-cowl seal by peeling it up from one end.
3. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to open the filter access door in the cowl grill.
4. Remove any debris in the filter area such as leaves or pine needles.
5. Rotate the two locking tabs outward and pull the filter outward.
6. Install the new filter, noting the airflow direction arrow on the filter.
7. Rotate both locking tabs until they are seated.
8. lnstall hood-to-cowl seal onto plenum flange.
9. Close the access door and press to lock it into place.
10. Close the hood.
