Service Procedure for Rear Seat Head Rest and Escutcheon, and Rear Window Trim Finish Panel on Saturn Homecoming Commemorative Sedans

MODELS AFFECTED:
1994 Saturn homecoming commemorative sedan (HCS)

PURPOSE:
This bulletin contains the service procedures for removal and installation of the rear seat head rest and rear seat head rest escutcheons, and rear window
trim finish panel used on the homecoming commemorative sedan (HCS).

IMPORTANT:

These service procedures will not be included in the 1991-1994 Body/Collision Repair Service Manual since it has already been printed. For future
reference, it is suggested that you file this bulletin in front of the "Rear Window Trim Finish Panel - Sedan" procedure in the "Vehicle Interior
Systems" section of the "Body/Collision Repair Service Manual."

PROCEDURES

Rear Seat Head Rest Removal

1.

Remove rear seat head rest by inserting a small screwdriver or awl between the locking spring and the inboard opening of the slot of the rear seat
head rest escutcheon.

IMPORTANT: 

Escutcheon slot faces forward on passenger side and rearward on driver side.

2.

Depress locking spring outboard, to disengage the rear seat head rest locking spring.

3.

Pull up on rear seat head rest to remove.

Rear Seat Head Rest Installation

1.

Install rear seat head rest by inserting it fully into rear seat head rest escutcheon. Push down to fully secure rear seat head rest into locking clips.

2.

Pull up on rear seat head rest to verify proper installation.
