Important: Do not damage any inner panels or reinforcements.
6. Locate and remove all factory welds attaching the front bumper bracket to the frame rail. Note the number and location of the welds for installation
of the new bracket.
7. Remove the damaged front bumper bracket.
Installation Procedure
1. Prepare all mating surfaces as necessary for welding
2. Apply GM-approved Weld-Thru Coating or equivalent to all mating surfaces. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.
3. Position the front bumper bracket to the vehicle. Ensure proper positioning of the front bumper bracket by using 3-dimensional measuring
equipment. Clamp the front bracket into place.
