Condition
Some customers may comment that the outside mirror housing may vibrate when driving or that the mirror rattles when closing the door.
Cause
This condition may be caused because of not enough foam stiffener between the inner and outer door panel at the mirror.
Correction
Remove the mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement in SI.
Apply *3M Duramix(TM) NVH Dampening Material, P/N 04374, between the inner and outer panel in the entire mirror opening.
Remove any excess material in the mirror mounting holes.
Reinstall the mirror and door trim. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement.
