Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Service and Repair
SUNROOF ACTUATOR (MOTOR)
REMOVAL
1. Remove headliner. Refer to "Headliner Removal" procedure.
2. Remove two screws and lower sunroof switch/console assembly.
3. Disconnect harness from motor.
4. Remove three screws and remove sunroof motor.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: If motor has been turned, or if sunroof glass position has changed, the motor must be retimed to the sunroof module. Refer to
"Sunroof Motor to Module Timing" procedure.
1. Using three screws, install sunroof motor and connect to harness.
Torque: 3-4 Nm (27-35 in-lbs)
NOTICE: Do not pull the motor in with the attaching screws, as this may result in damage to the drive cables.
