Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system (refer to Airbags and Seat Belts).
2. Remove console (refer to Body and Frame).
3. Remove electrical connector from park brake indicator switch.
4. Loosen park brake adjuster nut.
5. Remove both rear park brake cables from the equalizer and pull them away from park brake base.
6. Remove the three park brake-to-floor retaining fasteners.
CAUTION: Do not contact the SIR system's Sensing And Diagnostic Module (SDM) when removing park brake lever assembly from vehicle.
7. Remove park brake lever assembly from floor.
