Fig. 62  Anti-lock Brake Solenoid Valve Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Clean dirt from solenoid valve and area around solenoid.
3. Disconnect electrical connector from solenoid valve, Fig. 127 .       
4. Remove two solenoid to modulator Torx head retaining screws, then the solenoid from the modulator.
5. Reverse procedure to install, and torque Torx retaining screws to 45 inch lbs.

NOTE;  There are two different designs of solenoids used on this ABS system. The solenoids are not interchangeable. Each is identified by
an eight digit number on the top of the solenoid. Ensure correct solenoid is installed.
