The rod and adjuster assembly are not repairable and must be replaced as an assembly. Do not remove rod and adjuster from cruise control module
.
1. Disconnect air intake tube at throttle body; then, while observing throttle plate position, depress adjuster release tab and slide adjuster away
from bracket, Fig. 4.
2. With throttle plate closed, cruise control rod should have .040-.079 inch freeplay. If not as specified, replace rod and adjuster assembly.
