Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair
Cooling Fan Assembly Replacement
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove intake air ducts and disconnect temperature sensor connector.
3. Disconnect wiring harness from cooling fan motor.
4. Loosen and remove top hold-down bolts from cooling fan assembly.
5. On models equipped with automatic transaxle and A/C, it may be necessary to loosen the top transaxle oil cooler line for clearance.
6. Lift cooling fan off of lower mounting brackets. Move assembly to left and rotate counterclockwise while lifting upward past upper radiator hose.
7. Remove cooling fan assembly from vehicle.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
