Fuse Circuits Testing
IP BATT Fuse
Location: Underhood junction block
Type: 30A Maxifuse
Feeds: Circuit 402
If the following system is operating normally, the fuse is most likely good:
^
Headlamp switch
^
Dome lamp
^
Remote mirror switch
^
Map lights
^
Power door locks
^
Radio
If the fuse is blown determine the cause of the blown fuse and repair.
Replace fuse as needed.

BODY FUSE
Location: Instrument panel junction block
Type: 10A Minifuse
Feeds: Circuit 340
If the following system is operating normally. the fuse is most likely good:
^
Cargo lamp
^
Dome lamp
^
Remote mirror switch
^
Map lights
^
Power door locks
^
Radio
If the fuse is blown determine the cause of the blown fuse and repair.
Replace fuse as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the Complaint-Condition Chart.
Grounds Circuits Testing
Before checking the ground circuit from the faulty component all the way to the ground stud, check the circuit from the splice pack to ground by testing
some of the other subsystems grounded by the same splice pack. If the other subsystems function properly, it is most likely that the path from the splice
pack to ground is good (or at least one of the paths is good with redundantly grounded splice packs).
Left Body Ground Splice
Location: Left side under driver's seat.
The left body ground splice pack provides a ground path for the left side of the body harness. If one of the following systems is operating normally, the
ground circuit is most likely good.
^
Power door locks
^
Dome lamp
^
Door jamb/ajar switches
^
Sunroof
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the Complaint-Condition Chart.
Dome Lamp
Check for damaged or corroded terminals or connectors. Check for terminal tightness.
Check voltage across the bulb socket.
^
With the bulb removed and switch in ON position, measure voltage between socket terminals. Batter, voltage should be measured.
^
With the bulb removed and switch in DOOR position and a door open, measure voltage between socket terminals. Battery, Voltage should be
measured.
Repair/Replace as needed.
If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the Complaint-Condition Chart.
