1. Install a new gasket on exhaust manifold studs.

2. Install front exhaust pipe-to-manifold fasteners.

 - Torque: 31 N.m (23 ft-lbs)

NOTE: Make sure the exhaust pipe bracket is positioned on the rearward side of the bracket bolted to the powertrain.

3. Install the two exhaust pipe support bracket-to-exhaust pipe bracket fasteners.

 - Torque: 31 N.m (23 ft-lbs)

4.  Install front exhaust pipe to three way catalytic converter gasket and fasteners.

NOTE: Always use a nickel-based anti-seize compound (Saturn P/N 21485279 or equivalent) on the threads of the oxygen sensor. Never use
silicone products; silicone products will damage the oxygen sensor.
 - Torque: 25 N.m (19 ft-lbs)

Rear Oxygen Sensor

5. Install rear heated oxygen sensor using Saturn tool SA9603E.

 - Torque: 45 N.m (33 ft-lbs)
