Remove the I/P compartment assembly.
CAUTION:
TO PREVENT PERSONAL INJURY AIR BAG ON-OFF SWITCHES MUST NOT BE PLACED ON ANY INSTRUMENT PANEL SURFACE
DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S OR PASSENGER'S LEG OR KNEE AREA.
IMPORTANT:
On 1992-1994 model year vehicles, place the template on the inside of the I/P compartment.

For 1992-1994 model year vehicles:

Place template, provided with kit on the inside left of the I/P compartment.

Locate and drill two 13/64 in. (5 mm) holes in compartment upper front surface for air bag on-off switch mount location.
^
Locate and drill one 1-1/4 in. (32 mm) hole in I/P compartment upper rear surface for air bag on-off switch wiring.
