1.
Remove instrument panel end cap, Fig. 4.
2.
Remove instrument panel top cover by removing screw caps and screws. Lift panel at rear edge to disengage clips and slide panel out of clips at
windshield, Fig. 5. Use caution when removing top cover to keep from scratching garnish moldings.
3.
Remove screw in top of front lower garnish molding.
4.
On Coupe models, remove coat hook.
5.
Starting at front of molding, pull firmly on molding at clip locations to remove. Partially remove front garnish/sill molding at center pillar garnish
molding, Fig. 6.
6.
Partially remove rear garnish/sill molding and remove center pillar lower molding fasteners. Release center pillar lower molding from center pillar,
Fig. 7.
7.
Slide lap belt through center pillar lower molding and remove molding, Fig. 7.
8.
Disconnect wiring harness leading to shoulder belt track assembly.
9.
Remove shoulder belt track assembly, Fig. 8.
10.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Apply Loctite No. 242 threadlocker or equivalent, to all restraint bolts/nuts before installation.
b.
Torque two bottom guide tube clip bolts to 27 inch lbs.
c.
Torque all other guide track bolts to 53 inch lbs.
d.
Torque shoulder belt upper anchor Torx head bolt to 30 ft. lbs.
