8. Disengage the J-strip at the rear of the cushion.
Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.
9. Remove the seat cushion cover from the pad by carefully disengaging the hook and loop retainers.
10. Remove the seat cushion pad from the frame.
Caution: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the
service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system
to operate improperly.
11. If replacing the front passenger seat cushion, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. Refer to Inflatable Restraint
Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (with Heated Seat) Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (without
Heated Seat) .
Installation Procedure
1. Position the seat cushion pad to the frame.
2. Engage the hook and loop retainers by pressing down on the retainers.
