6. Install the brake booster pushrod retainer (1).

Ensure the pushrod retainer is properly installed by rotating the retainer 360 degrees.

7. Install the clutch pedal assembly, if equipped. Refer to Clutch Pedal Replacement  (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Clutch/Clutch Pedal

Assembly/Service and Repair) .

8. Install the accelerator pedal position sensor. Refer to Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement  (See: Powertrain Management/Computers

and Control Systems/Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor/Service and Repair) for the 2.4L engine, or accelerated Pedal Position Sensor
Replacement  (See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor/Service and Repair) for the 3.5L
engine, or accelerated Pedal Position Sensor Replacement  (See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Accelerator Pedal
Position Sensor/Service and Repair) for the 3.6L engine.

9. Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement  (See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair) .

10. Install the driver knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair) .
