Saturn Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

1. Clean the engine block at the water pump mating surface.
2. Install a new water pump O-seal to the water pump.
3. Install the water pump assembly.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

4. Install the water pump bolts (2).

Tighten the water pump bolts to 12 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the water pump pulley bolts (1).

Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 12 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement  (See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair) .
7. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender

Liner/Service and Repair) .

8. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LZ4-3.5L)  (See: Cooling System/Radiator Hose/Service and Repair)
