Introduction
When replacing the sliding roof glass sub-assembly No. 1 (wind deflector) on some 2005 model year Scion tC vehicles, the drive gear assembly must
also be replaced. The drive gear assembly is now available as a separate service part to expedite this process and improve overall serviceability.
The following instructions have been developed to assist in this repair. The Repair Manual will also be updated to reflect this new procedure.

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
