Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

NOTE:

Place all removed interior parts on a protected surface to prevent damage.

When disconnecting wiring connectors, do NOT pull on wires. Pull on the connector only.

Set the parking brake.

2.

For Automatic Transmission:

A.

Remove the cap on the shift lock release button.

B.

Press the shift lock release button and move the gear shift to the N position (refer to Figure 1).

C.

Pull the console cluster in the direction of the arrow and remove the clips in order: (A) to (B) to (C) (refer to Figure 2).

For Manual Transmission:

A.

Pull the console cluster in the direction of the arrow and remove the clips in order: (A) to (B) to (C) (refer to Figure 2).

B.

Pull the leather shift cover through the console cluster.
