1. Connect the SST to the battery.

Connect the red clip of the SST to the battery positive (+) terminal and the black clip of the SST to the battery negative (-) terminal.

2. Check the function of the SST.

Press the SST activation switch, and check that the LED of the SST activation switch comes on.

CAUTION: 
- Do not connect the SST connector (yellow colored one) to the airbag.
- If the LED comes on when the activation switch is not being pressed, SST malfunction is possible, so replace the SST with a new one.

3. Disconnect the SST from the battery.

b. Precaution.
c. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

CAUTION:  After removing the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

d. Remove the 5 bolts from the front seat assembly LH.

HINT:  Keep the front seat assembly LH in the cabin.

e. Install the SST.

1. Disconnect the connector (yellow colored one) from the front seat airbag assembly LH.

NOTE:  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

2. Connect the SST connector to the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.
