9) Use a stopper or wrap a piece of cloth tape 10 mm away from the tip of the drill bits, as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:

Using a stopper or taping the drill bit will prevent it from damaging surrounding parts and from penetrating the door panel.

Confirm that the windows are rolled up to prevent damage to them when drilling.
10) Using a 3 mm drill bit, drill a pilot hole in the marked position.
11) Using a 7 mm drill bit, drill the pilot hole to enlarge it.
12) Using a small round file, remove the burrs from the drilled hole.
13) Remove the cloth tape.
14) Remove the piece of cloth, making sure not to spill the filings inside the door.
15) Remove any remaining filings or metal particles from inside the door using a magnetic pick-up tool.
16) Apply touch-up paint to the drilled hole, and allow it to dry.
17) Repeat the mounting hole drilling procedure on the opposite door.
