1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
5. REMOVE SIDE NO.1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH
6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

CAUTION: 
-

Removal of the seat belt pretensioner must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF and the negative (-) terminal
cable is disconnected from the battery.

Carefully read the notes for the pretensioner in the SRS airbag system section and the front seat outer belt section.

a. To disconnect the pretensioner connector:1) horizontally pull out the lock part of the connector as indicated by the black arrow in the

illustration, and 2) remove the connector.

b. Remove the 3 bolts and outer belt.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

a. Remove the front seat LH.
b. Disconnect the 3 connectors and then disengage the 5 claws.
c. Remove the nut and inner belt.

9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

a. Install the inner belt with the nut.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

NOTE:  Do not disassemble the retractor.
