1. Connect SST red clip to the battery's positive (+) terminal and the black clip to the battery's negative (-) terminal.

HINT:  The yellow connector will be used to connect to another SST in step (e).

2. Press SST activation switch and check that the LED of SST activation switch turns ON.

CAUTION:  If the LED turns ON when the activation switch is not being pressed, SST may be malfunctioning. Replace SST with a new
one.

b. Disconnect SST from the battery.
c. Disconnect the pretensioner connector.

1. Disconnect the cable from the battery negative (-) terminal.
2. Check the SRS airbag system.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion.
4. Remove the rear seatback LH. 
5. Remove the front door scuff plate LH.
6. Remove the side No. 1 trim LH.
7. Remove the center pillar garnish LH.

8. To disconnect the pretensioner connector:1) horizontally pull out the lock part of the connector as indicated by the black arrow in the

illustration, and 2) remove the connector.

d. Prepare SST for activation of seat belt pretensioner.

1. Install the floor anchor of the seat belt.
