Parking Brake Warning Lamp: Testing and Inspection
INSPECT PARKING BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
a. Inspect the parking brake warning light.
1. Disconnect the connector from the parking brake warning switch.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Ground the terminal of the wire harness side connector, and then check that the parking brake warning light illuminates.
OK: Parking brake warning light illuminates.
b. Inspect the parking brake warning light.
1. Disconnect the connector from the brake fluid level warning switch.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Connect terminal 1 and 2 of the wire harness side connector, and then check that the parking brake warning light illuminates.
OK: Parking brake warning light illuminates.
