Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

a. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

NOTE:  If checking the engine coolant temperature sensor in water, be careful not to allow water to intrude the terminals. After checking, dry
the sensor.

If the result is not as specified, replace the engine coolant temperature sensor.
