INSTALLATION

CAUTION:  Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it.

1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

a. Attach the 10 claws to install the front passenger airbag.

b. Install the 2 nuts.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Install the instrument panel.

NOTE:  When handling the airbag connector, do not damage the airbag wire harness.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

a. Perform initialization.

NOTE:  Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

a. Check the SRS warning light.

HINT:  When scrapping a vehicle equipped with an SRS or disposing of the front passenger airbag assembly, be sure to deploy the airbag first in
accordance with the procedure described below. If any abnormality occurs with the airbag deployment, contact the SERVICE DEPT. of TOYOTA
MOTOR SALES, U.S.A., INC.
