5. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the nut, and disconnect the transmission control cable from the floor shift.
b. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever plate.

6. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
b. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps from the floor shift.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and floor shift.

DISASSEMBLY 

1. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

a. Disconnect the connector from the shift lever plate.

b. Remove the transmission control switch connector from the shift lever plate.
c. Disengage the secondary locking device.
d. Release the locking lug of terminals 2 and 4, and then pull out the terminals from the rear.
