c. Check that the ignition key can be pulled out with the shift lever in the P position.
d. Check that the ignition switch cannot be turned to the LOCK position with the shift lever in any position

other than P.

e. Check that the shift lever can be shifted from the P position to other positions when the shift lock release button is pressed.

5. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION

a. Inspect the shift lever position.

6. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION

a. Adjust the shift lever position.

7. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

a. Install the console box to the vehicle with the screw.

NOTICE:  While installing the console box sub-assembly, pay attention not to damage the shift lever knob and the indicator housing.
