Repair Procedure

1.

Replace or resurface front disc rotors with the On-Car Brake Lathe according to the applicable Repair Manual to within serviceable limits.

2.

Add anti-squeal grease to the inner and outer brake pads in a 40 mm wide by 22.2 mm tall (1.58 in. wide by 0.87 in. tall) square patch centered on
the back of each brake pad as shown.

NOTE:

It is necessary to apply the anti-squeal grease to both inner and outer brake pads.

3.

Install the anti-squeal shims No. 1 and No. 2 on the brake pads. Do NOT wipe off grease if it overflows from the slit in the anti-squeal shims.
