Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Removal

PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal
3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal
4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 5 bolts and console box mounting bracket.

6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Parking Brake Lever/Service and Repair/Removal

7. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable from the parking brake equalizer.

8. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

HINT:  Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable.

9. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 parking brake cable from the parking brake cable end stopper.
