REMOVAL

1. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

Panel/Service and Repair/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

5. REMOVE BATTERY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY CARRIER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

10. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and gasket and separate the center exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and separate the center exhaust pipe assembly from the No. 2 center exhaust pipe assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 exhaust pipe supports, then remove the center exhaust pipe assembly.

11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
