AUDIO / VISUAL: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and

Repair/Disassembly

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service

and Repair/Disassembly

3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front No. 2 speaker.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and

Repair/Disassembly

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and

Repair/Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the speaker connector.

(b) Drill out the 3 rivet heads using a drill with a bit diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), and remove the No. 1 speaker.
