Removal

BRAKE: BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument

Cluster / Carrier/Service and Repair/Combination Meter/Removal

3. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service

and Repair/Combination Meter/Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

6. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector from the stop light switch.
(b) Disengage the harness clamp from the pedal support.

(c) Turn the stop light switch counterclockwise and remove the stop light switch.

7. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

(a) Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster from the pedal support.

8. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
