Installation

BRAKE CONTROL: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag
system before servicing  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.

1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Engage the 6 claws and insert the 2 pins into the holes to install the steering angle sensor onto the spiral cable.

2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Installation

5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation

6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Installation

7. INSTALL STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation

8. TURN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic
